1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using GET IT GONE FREE ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. What GET IT GONE Is
GET IT GONE FREE is a free community marketplace that connects people who want to give away, trade, or responsibly dispose of items they no longer need. All transactions are between users directly — GET IT GONE FREE is not a party to any exchange.
3. User Responsibilities
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of any items you list.
- You must only list items you have the right to give away or trade.
- All pickups are arranged directly between users. GET IT GONE does not guarantee any pickup, exchange, or transaction.
- You agree to treat other users with respect and honesty.
4. Prohibited Items
You may not list the following (shown at posting as the Prohibited Items Policy); listings are checked before they publish and rejected if they appear to violate it:
- Firearms, ammunition, and regulated weapons
- Explosives and fireworks
- Illegal drugs and controlled substances
- Prescription medications offered by private users
- Tobacco, nicotine, vaping products, and alcohol
- Stolen goods or counterfeit goods
- Pornographic or sexually explicit items
- Hazardous chemicals and poisons
- Human or animal remains
- Live animals (unless we add an approved animal-rehoming feature)
- Any other unlawful or dangerous goods inappropriate for a community giveaway marketplace
Automated validation is the first layer of protection. Community reporting and administrator review remain a second layer for anything that evades automated detection.
5. Listing Expiration & Removal
Listings expire automatically after a set period. GET IT GONE reserves the right to remove any listing at any time, for any reason, without notice — including listings that violate these Terms or are flagged as inappropriate.
6. No Warranty & Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided "as is" without any warranties. GET IT GONE is not liable for any damages, losses, or disputes arising from transactions between users, the condition of listed items, or the use of this Platform. You use it at your own risk.
7. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in behavior that is harmful to the community.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
